This application is notified under section 17SC of the Conservation Act 1987. The Minister of Conservation has received an application for the construction, operation, repair and maintenance of a range of mountain bike trails for a 30-year term.

The following items should be noted when viewing the application document:
- The 14 proposed trails are listed in the key and shown on the maps included in application Form 7a, attachment A. Coronet Peak MTB Network map.
- In addition to the e3 Scientific ecological assessment for the Coronet Peak lease included in application Form 7a, the applicant has provided a further e3 Scientific ecological impact assessment for the Coronet Peak mountain bike tracks dated June 2023.
- The applicant has confirmed that a 30-year term is sought in an email dated 24 April 2023.

What happens next
After submissions close:
- DOC will analyse and consider all submissions and comments on the application.
- A hearing will be held if there have been requests to be heard by the Director-General. If you have expressed an interest in presenting your submission at a hearing, you will be contacted by DOC regarding this.
- DOC will analyse and consider information raised at the hearing if a hearing occurred.
- DOC will make a recommendation to the Minister of Conservation.
- The Minister of Conservation will make a decision on the application.
