Summary of Proposal: Application for concession to construct a new equipment building, associated earthworks for trenching, investigations and reinforcing existing structures, within SH94, a concession area and Fiordland National Park at east Homer Tunnel, adjacent to SH94. The purpose of the proposed new equipment building is to provide appropriate protection for safety and emergency equipment at the Homer Tunnel, in turn reducing potential for rock fall and avalanche risk associated with servicing the power supply in its current location.
