About our seasonal jobs

Each year we have a variety of fixed term roles for the summer season which start from September through to May. The roles are typically from a minimum of 4 months to 6 months.

Jobs will be advertised in three intakes. You can apply for any roles that interest you. Keep an eye out for the next intake using the dates below.

Roles

Our summer seasonal roles are categorised into three groups:

  • Heritage and visitors, including hut and campground rangers
  • Biodiversity
  • Community and visitor centres

Heritage and visitors

Contribute to the amazing suite of recreation and tourism assets we have across Aotearoa, New Zealand. These assets include huts, campgrounds, tracks, bridges, and spectacular viewpoints at some of our most iconic sites.

Biodiversity

Put your skills into action across backcountry, pest control, trapping, weeding, and handling some of our taonga bird species such as yellow-eyed penguin/hoiho, oystercatcher/tōrea pango and kiwi. Join the team to restore and protect natural ecosystems and native species.

Community and visitor centre

Put your knowledge and passion for conservation into action by connecting people to nature, building positive partnerships with local iwi, hapū and whānau, and advocating for conservation.
