CMS review
In 2019 parts of the Hawke’s Bay CMS 1994, including the Ruahine Range and the area around Dannevirke, were amalgamated into the Wellington CMS. For information on these areas see the Wellington CMS.
The rest of the Hawke’s Bay CMS was included in a review with the East Coast CMS to amalgamate the East Coast and Hawke’s Bay into one CMS region reflecting the Conservation Board boundaries.
DOC appreciates the valuable input of our Treaty partners, conservation boards and community into this initial review. Until the review has been completed the 1994 CMS remains operative.
