Marlborough walks include the Queen Charlotte Track in the Sounds area and Molesworth Station tramping tracks and the Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway in South Marlborough.

 High wasp numbers in the whole Nelson Marlborough region

Be aware of the potential of wasp nests along the tracks and around amenity areas and campsites. Always carry antihistamine and especially an epipen if you are allergic to wasp stings. Carry a reliable means of communication such as a mobile or locator beacon in case you have a severe allergic reaction.

Nelson/Tasman region

The Nelson/Tasman region offers visitors an array of walking and tramping experiences, including two of New Zealand's Great Walks – the Abel Tasman Coast Track and the Heaphy Track.

Walking tracks from Aoraki Mount Cook Village, Arthur's Pass day walks, the Mueller Hut Route and many other tracks and walks in the Canterbury region.

Wellington/Kapiti region

Tracks and walks in the Wellington/Kapiti region include the popular Orongorongo Track and the classic Tararua Northern Crossing and Tararua Southern Crossing.
