Getting there

Access to the site is via the Tongariro Forest Conservation Area and crossing the Whanganui River with boat or wading or swimming. You can also access it through private land and private forestry block, which will require separate permission/permits.

Private land to the north and east. To the south and west the reserve lies adjacent to Tongariro Conservation Area (CN60042), separated by the Whanganui River.
