Waingongoro Hut

Located in Dawson Falls area and Egmont National Park in the Taranaki region

This hut is a great half day tramp or overnight tramp for families with children and new trampers.

Take care near the cliff edge – there is no barrier

This hut borders a cliff which overlooks the Waingongoro River. It is a beautiful spot but extra care should be taken when near the edge – there is no barrier.

Children should be actively supervised at all times.

Stay off the helipad

Don't camp or walk on the helipad. This is by the cliff edge and is not safe for any other use.
