Great Walks bookings are open for stays to 30 June 2025.

Bookings will open for stays from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 on these dates at 9.30 am NZST:

• 15 May: Heaphy Track, Kepler Track, Rakiura Track
• 22 May: Whanganui Journey, Routeburn Track, Tongariro Northern Circuit
• 27 May: Lake Waikaremoana Track, Abel Tasman Coast Track, Paparoa Track
• 28 May: Milford Track

Note: Hump Ridge Track bookings are made through the Hump Ridge Trust website.

The tracks are well formed and easy to follow. While most people prefer to explore on their own, guided trips offer a bit more comfort. Great Walks are accessible from major towns that are well serviced by local operators and accommodation and transport providers.
