Upper Willberg landing site: A large open camp in the tussock. Easy tops access. Smaller hunting area with most animals downstream. Suitable for hunting parties of 2–3 persons. River water supply. In times of heavy rain, camping at the Upper Willberg site is advised.

Alternate lower Willberg landing site: It is in the rocky creek bed. Not suitable in moderate to heavy rain as the area will flood. Hunting access good, but steep in places with scrub. River water supply. Suitable for parties of 2–3 persons.
