Discounts for organisations

Introduction

You can get a discount when purchasing passes if you belong to one of these organisations.

Some organisations are entitled to benefits on DOC passes. This is based on the organisations’ contribution to conservation.

If you belong to one of these organisations and wish to learn more or access your discount, contact your organisation:

  • New Zealand Motor Caravan Association - 12-month Camp Passes
  • Federated Mountain Clubs - 12-month Backcountry Hut Passes
  • New Zealand Deer Stalkers - 12 month Hut Pass
  • NZ Alpine Club - 12-month Backcountry Hut Passes and Alpine Club Huts
  • LandSAR - 12-month Backcountry Hut Pass and Campsite Passes
  • Air New Zealand - 12-month Backcountry Hut Pass and Campsite Passes

If you are the holder of a Community Services Card, you will also get discounts on Huts, Campsites and Great Walks as well as Hut and Camp Passes.

How to add your membership to the booking system

You can add your membership to your booking account when you:

  • create an account
  • log in and edit your account.

For both options, you need to upload supporting documentation, normally your organisation's membership card.

Discounts will be applied automatically to your purchases made with your account once we verify your membership documentation and update your account.

Discounts can not be retrospectively applied to bookings. 

Verification can take up to three working days if the correct information is supplied.

Not all bookable huts and campsites offer discounts or allow Passes to be used as a form of payment on them. 

If you're entitled to discounts on any booking or purchase it will be automatically applied at the time of purchase. Passes can not be applied to bookings already made.

When creating your account

You will be prompted to let us know of any membership when creating your account. 

Add your membership to an existing account

To add your membership to an existing account:

  1. Log in to your booking account from the bookings homepage.
  2. Access your account details by selecting ‘Hello your name’.
  3. Select the ‘Apply for a membership classification’.
  4. The information shown will then guide you on what to do next.
