This track follows the ridge between Graces Stream and Catchpool Stream. It links up with the Clay Ridge and Five Mile Loop Tracks.
The vegetation consists of more drought-tolerant plants such as manuka because of the drier aspect and shallower soils.
The track gives good views of the Catchpool Valley.

If the water is flowing over the ford on the road, park before the ford and use the Nga Taonga Nature Walk to reach the car park.
From the car park go to the downhill side, across the lawn and across the footbridge to the start of the track.
It has steep sections that can be slippery when wet.
