Dog access
The campsite is situated amongst coastal manuka forest within 5 minutes walk from Palliser Bay. Can get strong winds.
Fees
Payment with a DOC Campsite Pass is preferred. Otherwise, pay your fees with cash at the self-registration stand at the campsite or to the camp warden if present. Put the correct fee in the envelope provided and place the receipt section of the envelope on your vehicle or tent.

45 minutes from Featherston, along Western Lake Road.
Drive south from Featherston along the Western Lake Rd, and then west on Wharekauhau Rd to the coast. Drive north west alongside Ocean Beach to Corner Creek. Unsealed road for at least 3 km with two stream fords. Suitable for large vehicles. Accessible only from the eastern side of the Remutaka Range.
