This small pocket of forest has never been logged and visitors can see these giants of the forest, some of which are over 1,000 years old.
This track is in Dean Forest on the Lillburn Monowai Road, which is the road to Lake Hauroko, Southland.
The track carpark is signposted from the Lillburn Valley Road.
Travel for approximately 12 km to the carpark at the Big Tōtara Walk.
