Descend from Coal Pit Saddle into Doolans Creek’s right branch. Ford the creek and follow the 4WD road up around the face of the hill to a sign-posted junction. Here, the walking track branches to the right. Follow it to the Remarkables Conservation Area for views of the Pisa and Old Woman Ranges and Nevis Bluff.
The track continues along the ridge, providing access to the alpine basins of Doolans Catchment and the back of The Remarkables.
It is 2 to 3 hr one way to the conservation area boundary, 5 to 6 hr one way to track end – a full day return trip.
Crosses private land.
