The Kidds Bush Nature Walk is an enjoyable loop track through a mountain beech forest.
The Sawyer Burn Track also starts from Kidds Bush Recreation Reserve.
The walk starts from the Kidds Bush campsite, 40 km north of Wanaka. Follow Haast Highway (SH6) past Hāwea until you reach The Neck, then turn right into Meads Road and follow it for 6 km to the campsite.
There are toilet facilities and limited mobile phone coverage at the campsite.
All drone use must be authorised by DOC
You must have a permit to fly a drone on public conservation land.
