There are two sites to camp on Okahu Road, the road end and the larger mid-Okahu camp (formerly known as Grader Camp).

Free.
Follow Ruatahuna Road (formerly SH38) from Murupara and turn into Okahu Road (gravel road) at Ngaputahi. There is direct vehicle access from Okahu Road.
