Introduction

The Tairua area has a range of tracks exploring beaches and coastal forests. The Twin Kauri Track and Lynch Stream Track have been closed until further notice due to Kauri Disease being found in the vicinity.

The Pauanui Trig Track is one of the most popular walks in the lower Coromandel.

Sailors Grave Memorial is for a sailor from HMS Tortoise who drowned in the surf in 1842.
