From Tūrangi, follow SH1 south for 15 km, then turn off onto Kaimanawa Rd. After 3.5 km turn left, then left again over the bridge. The last 100 m is a gravel road.

The endangered blue duck/whio live in the nearby river - you may be lucky enough to spot one around dawn and dusk.
