Introduction
The steep climb to Camp Stream Hut is part of Te Araroa Trail and is popular with people walking the trail over summer and with ski tourers over winter.9 km one way

Look out for the Round Hill Snow Area access road on Lilybank Road. Lilybank Road is a long, gravel road so take care driving on this surface.
Drive 3 km up Round Hill Snow Area road to a formed carpark. Walk uphill on foot from here and look out for the poled route through Coal River and on towards Camp Stream Hut.
This track is on the eastern shores of Lake Tekapo. Turn off SH8 at Tekapo onto Lilybank Road which is a gravel road.
