Wildlife health
Wildlife health is about ensuring we have healthy and robust populations of wildlife. We work on investigating wildlife diseases.

Disease is a significant risk to wildlife and in some cases can cause local or whole species extinctions.

Our wildlife health work includes testing for germs, using drugs or disinfectants to kill germs, investigating disease outbreaks, and sharing our results. We collaborate with other government agencies, researchers and community groups to investigate wildlife disease.

Free online training: You can take a free online wildlife health course that teaches best practice methods for avian veterinary techniques in use with birds. Wildlife Health online course.
