Introduction
The Whio Forever Recovery Programme is a partnership between DOC and Genesis to enhance the survival of blue duck/whio nationwide.With Genesis’s help, DOC is able to operate whio security sites throughout the country, boost pest control efforts, and enhance the breeding and survival of these rare ducks.
DOC works with private and public organisations and community groups across the country on whio recovery programmes. These programmes are critical to helping whio populations survive and prosper.
