9.2 km one way
The track starts at the summit of Tapu-Coroglen Road, Coromandel.
This track has the least elevation gain of the tracks to Crosbies Hut and has no stream crossings.
It follows the rolling top ridge track. It can be very muddy underfoot. This track is a good option if trampers can be dropped off as parking is limited.
The track starts at the summit of Tapu-Coroglen Road, Coromandel. The track signage is not obvious from the road but the track begins where the road crosses the ridge. This is approximately 3-4 km past the ‘Square Kauri’ track if coming from the western side of the Peninsula.
It is not recommended to leave a vehicle overnight at the summit.
