Tender process for Blackstone Hill Conservation Area
DOC is inviting competitive tenders for the opportunity to graze sheep on part of the Blackstone Hill Conservation Area. This opportunity includes the ongoing maintenance of supporting infrastructure. Tenders closed Tuesday 26 November 2024.

Location details

Blackstone Hill Conservation Area is located at 5022 Wedderburn Becks Road (State Highway 85), in St Bathans, approximately 34 kilometres west of Ranfurly.

Legal Description: Part Section 1, Section 2, 3 and part Section 4 SO 422980 Blackstone Survey District.

Tender opportunity

DOC has decided to run an open tender process to determine the most suitable tender for the grazing opportunity at Blackstone Hill Conservation Area.

This is a process implemented under Section 17ZG(2)(a) of the Conservation Act 1987, and while the open tender process is in place, DOC will not be accepting concession applications.

Tenders are not an application for a concession.

Tenders will be evaluated, and the successful tender applicant may be invited to apply for a concession to graze Blackstone Hill Conservation Area. Concession applications will be processed under a separate concessions process.

The tender opportunity opens Wednesday 30 October 2024 and closed 4 pm, Tuesday 26 November 2024.

4. Submit your application 

Tender applications must be submitted either by post, email or hand delivered. All proposals must be received by 4 pm, Tuesday 26 November 2024.

The subject of your email/letter should be “Tender application – Blackstone Hill Conservation Area.”
