Applications for marine mammal permits
Introduction
Have your say on multiple applications submitted for marine mammal permits. Submissions closed 14 April 2024.The Permissions team are processing multiple applications of the same or similar activity concurrently. This approach enables us to manage our existing permissions workload more efficiently by publicly notifying multiple applications at the same time.
The Minister of Conservation has received six separate applications for marine mammal permits. All applications outlined below are notified under section 17SC of the Conservation Act 1987.

How to make a submission
Submissions for all applications closed on 14 April 2024 at 5 pm.
Once submitted, submitters' information is subject to the Official Information Act 1982 and may be released under that Act. If you wish to keep any part of your submission confidential, you need to state this in writing when making your submission.
DOC comment regarding publicly notified applications
The Minister of Conservation has made no determination regarding the suitability of the proposed permits. This public notification should not be interpreted as an intention on the part of the Minister of Conservation to grant the proposed permits.
