Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre – museum
The museum showcases the history of the Aoraki/Mount Cook region through the key themes of transport, climbing, the Hermitage Hotel and Sir Edmund Hillary.

Exhibits include one of the Ferguson tractors that Hillary took with him on his expedition to the South Pole. We recommend you download the ‘Search Activity’ worksheet to assist students’ learning in the galleries.
