Come and see us. Our staff have a wealth of experience and knowledge about walks to do and sights to see in Fiordland.
Te Rua-o-te-moko / Fiordland National Park Visitor Centre is in the lakeside town of Te Anau, the gateway to Fiordland National Park – part of the Te Wāhipounamu World Heritage Area.
The Fiordland National Park Visitor Centre will operate a phone and email only service on Sundays and Wednesdays from 2 February 2025.
This means that the doors will be closed to visitors in-person but information will be available via email and phone on these days.
You can contact us on +64 3 249 7924 or by email at fiordlandvc@doc.govt.nz when our doors are closed. Visitors will still have access to the 24-hour lobby for up-to-date weather information, notices, and other services.
The visitor centre remains open to in-person visitors Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
