Summary

The Department of Conservation’s Canterbury Conservancy is responsible for some 1293 units of land and for the protection of important natural resources.

To help manage these resources the Conservancy, in consultation with the then North Canterbury and Aoraki Conservation Boards, has prepared the Canterbury Conservation Management Strategy (CMS).

The CMS sets out the management directions the Conservancy will take for the next ten years, the objectives it wants to achieve and the means by which it will achieve these.
