Mahoe, Ball's Clearing Scenic Reserve
Puketitiri Reserves comprise of Hutchinson, Ball's Clearing and William Hartree Memorial Scenic Reserves and Little Bush, a Forest and Bird Reserve. They offer opportunities for walks through regenerating forest and clearings.
Puketitiri Reserves exist largely through the efforts of a group of local dedicated conservationists. Their advocacy for the cause of conservation and generosity in gifting land for reserves was at a time when the need for conservation wasn’t so apparent.
