Mill Road: 8 km via Tukituki River (not recommended when river levels are high)

Around 100 km for Napier or Palmerston North, turn off SH50 onto Makaretu Road, then into Mill Road – the first road on the left. Mill Road becomes gravel after approx. 7 km.

Kashmir Road: 2 to3 hr via Daphne Hut Track

Around 100 km from Napier or Palmerston North, turn off SH50 onto Makaretu Road, then into Mill Road – the first road on the left. Mill Road becomes gravel after 7 km – continue on for a further 4 km, then turn left into Kashmir Road. We recommend using a 4WD on Kashmir Road due to its steepness.

2 km past the park boundary a side road on the right drops down for 200 m to Moorcock Stream where the track begins.
