Conservation volunteers meet every second Tuesday, year round, to work on a variety of interesting conservation projects.

When: 9am, every second Tuesday, year round.

Where: Russell Street, Westport, Buller

Description: 

The group assists with conservation projects such as maintenance of historic and recreation facilities, weed control, planting of native species and conducting bird surveys.

Fitness Level:

A reasonable level of fitness is required as most volunteer days involve physical work. No specific skills are needed but volunteers must be comfortable using hand tools.

What to bring:

Volunteers must bring their own lunch but tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. Good footwear and wet weather gear is essential, most other equipment is provided.
