Volunteers are required to act as Hut Wardens in various huts within Egmont National Park.

Hut wardens need to be experienced back country trampers who are reliable and who enjoy relating to a wide variety of hut users. A good command of the English language is essential. Previous hut warden experience and/or knowledge of Egmont National Park would also be an advantage.

Dates required:

• Holiday weekends - Waitangi Weekend, Taranaki Anniversary, Easter and Labour Weekend.
• The Christmas and New Year period
• Weekends during the summer months and some school holidays.

• Remember to state "Hut Warden" in the 'Interests' section and state your preferred hut and dates under 'Availability.'
