Five key matters were identified in the partial review of the Kahurangi National Park Management Plan including mountain biking on the Heaphy Track.

The New Zealand Conservation Authority received the document at its meeting on the 15th April 2010. It will be following due process to consider those amendments.

The Authority has formed a committee to consider the draft reviewed Management Plan. Before approving a management plan, the NZCA will have regard to the views of the Minister of Conservation. 

The Authority meets every 2 months with the next meeting to be held in June. The Authority expects to deal the review within six months.
