In 2008, World Environment Day and Arbor Day combine into one big celebration on 5 June.

This year World Environment Day is about climate change with the slogan, Kick the Habit! – Towards a Low Carbon Economy. Events will take place in more than 100 countries around the world.

The Department of Conservation’s Arbor Day celebrations focus on planting native trees to restore habitats that have been damaged by humans, pests and weeds.  Find out how you can be involved in the celebrations!
