Director-General

Al Morrison, Director-General of the Department of Conservation.

Business Performance Group

The Business Performance Group ensures that DOC has the business systems, tools and support it needs to achieve its missions and objectives.

Kāhui Kaupapa Atawhai

Kāhui Kaupapa Atawhai ensures that DOC fulfils its responsibilities to Māori under the Conservation Act; manages DOC's funding teams; and monitors the activities of the Queen Elizabeth II National Trust.

Operations Group

The Operations Group manages the operational business of DOC across 11 regions (conservancies) and delivers many of DOC's outcomes.

Policy and Regulatory Services Group

The Policy and Regulatory Services Group leads strategic policy and DOC's input into Treaty settlement negotiations; manages ministerial and OIA requests; supports the NZ Conservation Authority and NZ Fish and Game Council; and manages legal services for DOC.

Science and Capability Group

The Science and Capability Group improves conservation delivery and builds skills and leadership conservation capabilities.
